Funded projects in the CIP for the next five total $61,823,075. Unfunded projects total
$52,475,000. This equates to 46% of the City’s total projects that are currently unfunded.
Sales Tax Capital Projects Fund
The County-wide Sales Tax Referendum was established in 2015 for an additional 15-year
period ending on December 31, 2032. Projections for this fund are based upon estimated FY
2025/26 revenues with an annual 4.2% projected increase in revenues from FY 2027/31. The
total FY 2027/31 revenue estimate is $17,466,557 which is approximately $2.4 million higher than
revenue needed to fund all the projects in this fund. However, there are several Unfunded Projects
that would be eligible under this funding source.
A significant portion of projects funded in this fund are for departments historically funded by
the General Fund. The primary purpose of the Sales Tax Capital Projects Fund is to provide
funding for infrastructure and facility improvements. It serves to fund essential projects that
enhance public amenities, strengthen transportation networks and better equip Public Safety.
